Ola Electric Unveils Affordable E-Scooters and Expands Service Centers

Ola Electric, the leading electric scooter manufacturer in India, took a significant stride on Tuesday by unveiling its latest affordable offerings, a strategic move aimed at attracting a wider range of buyers as electric scooter prices draw closer to those of their gasoline counterparts. The company introduced its newest models, the S1X and S1X+, which will be competitively priced between 99,999 rupees ($1,199.15) and 109,999 rupees, respectively. Notably, the entry-level variant of the S1X comes in at an impressive 36% lower in cost compared to Ola’s premium electric scooter, the S1 Pro, which is currently valued at 140,000 rupees. This bold pricing strategy places electric scooters within a more accessible range for Indian consumers, especially when contrasted with the starting price of approximately 64,000 rupees for the least expensive gasoline-powered scooter available in the market.

In a remarkable demonstration of its commitment to customer support and accessibility, Ola Electric simultaneously announced the inauguration of 100 new service centers across the nation on the same day. This brings the total count of service centers operated by the Softbank Group-backed company to an impressive 500. This extensive network of service centers aims to ensure that Ola Electric’s customers have convenient access to maintenance and support services, further bolstering the company’s reputation for customer satisfaction.

As Ola Electric forges ahead with its vision of a sustainable and electric-powered transportation future, the launch of these new affordable models and the expansion of its service center network not only showcase the company’s dedication to innovation but also its unwavering commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its growing customer base across India.
